LGBTQ

Where can you turn?

It never ends– the coworker who made that joke in the middle of a meeting, the family member who stopped calling you, the good friend who started to distance themselves without explanation.

It felt wrong not to address it, but you were too scared.

There’s the shame that comes along with the feelings of guilt and sadness.

I know what you may be thinking.

Another person who says they specialize in working with LGBTQ people, but don’t know what they’re doing. They lump you into a singular experience when really, you’re a member of a diverse, powerful, and vibrant community.

You’re searching for someone who is going to understand you and not judge or ask probing questions that make you feel uncomfortable and misunderstood.

I know because I have been there.

Connection

When I speak to my LGBTQ friends, one of the most common experiences we share is the immediate sense of relief we feel when we find out we are speaking to another person within the LGBTQ community.

Our guards come down and the fear we may have felt around talking about our partners, our lives, and our experiences, goes away.

Finally, we feel safe.

We Transcend

Suddenly, we are not just our sexuality or our pronouns, or our gender identity – we are seen as a whole person again.

No longer the token lesbian, trans, or bisexual person in the room, there is an ease and a comfort that develops in knowing that you are safe.

We get it. I get it.

We Flourish!

It makes no difference if you are new to the community – just coming to the realization that there is a little splash of rainbow inside you – or if you have a greater depth of insight and understanding of your identity.

If you are looking for a safe point of connection to address your needs, you will find that here.

If you are a parent looking for guidance and a safe space to process the changes happening in your child, you are welcome here.

There is no one right way to walk this path. We will work together to enhance your self-acceptance, embrace your unique experiences, and amplify feelings of happiness and joy.
